Judicial Networks
For more than a decade, the Institute has built networks of judges and judicial staff in Central and Eastern Europe. More recently, we have expanded our work to Sub-Saharan Africa, where a new judicial exchange network is now thriving. Judges from both networks share experiences and improve their knowledge and skills to take on common challenges, from case management to corruption.
In October 2012, the CEELI Institute launched the Central and Eastern European Judicial Exchange Network—an initiative meant to bring together judges from the region to work on issues and challenges commonly experienced in their judiciaries.
In November 2021, the CEELI Institute launched the African Judicial Exchange Network, a platform for cooperation and peer expertise exchange in anglophone Africa. Network members meet regularly online and in person to discuss and address challenges in their judiciaries.
